About the role
MSA has an opportunity for a Senior Engineering Technician Civil to join our Madison, WI team. This position will assist a variety of municipal construction projects local to the Greater Madison.
Responsibilities
- Construction inspection on a variety of projects
- Quantity verification and Contractor communication
- Reviewing and understanding design plans
- Computations, reduction of field notes, filing and retrieving prints, and running prints
- Construction staking
- Wastewater, street, sewer, and water utility design in Civil 3D
- Completing redline revisions to plans
Qualifications
- An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in surveying, civil engineering technology, or related degree preferred
- A high school diploma or GED required
- A valid driver’s license is required
- 5+ years of prior experience with construction of municipal infrastructure projects required
- Attention to detail and strong communication skills

Pay & Perks
- Compensation Range: $26-43 an hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Candidates with significant experience may also be considered for a higher-level role with increased compensation.
