Senior Engineering Technician

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Engineering Technician to support a long-term government program in Wahiawa, Hawaii. The Senior Engineering Technician will serve as the primary on-site technical resource responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting integrated physical security systems at a mission-critical government installation. This position is onsite in Wahiawa, Hawaii and requires an active TS/SCI clearance with SCI eligibility! Responsibilities of the Senior Engineering Technician include: Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and support integrated physical security systems in a mission-critical environmentAdminister and support Lenel OnGuard access control systems and associated security infrastructureInstall, configure, and maintain CCTV, video surveillance, access control, and intrusion detection systemsDiagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, Windows operating system, and printer-related issuesSupport fiber optic infrastructure, connectivity, and associated hardware as neededServe as the primary on-site technical lead, independently resolving technical issues with minimal supervisionInterface directly with government personnel, military leadership, and end users to provide exceptional customer supportTrack incidents, service requests, and maintenance activities through a ticket management systemDocument troubleshooting efforts, repairs, system configurations, and technical proceduresCoordinate with remote engineering teams to escalate complex issues and implement technical solutionsSupport preventative maintenance activities to maximize system availability and operational readinessEnsure compliance with government security requirements and operational procedures Qualifications of the Senior Engineering Technician include: Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility requiredDoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) required6+ years of hands-on technical experience supporting physical security systemsExperience administering and troubleshooting Lenel OnGuard access control systemsExperience supporting Access Control Systems (ACS), CCTV, Video Management Systems (VMS), and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS)Strong troubleshooting experience with Windows operating systems and desktop hardwareExperience supporting integrated physical security systems in government, military, or enterprise environmentsExcellent analytical, troubleshooting, and customer service skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote operational environmentStrong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Milestone XProtect Video Management System (VMS)Experience installing or supporting fiber optic cabling and infrastructurePrevious experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or military installationsExperience with enterprise ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Remedy, or JiraExperience supporting long-term government contracts and mission-critical environments Compensation for the Senior Engineering Technician includes: Salary: $140,000 - $150,000Significant Sign-On Bonus to assist with relocation expensesPer Diem available for qualifying site visitsComprehensive Benefits Package including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), PTO, and Paid Holidays This job opens for applications on July 28, 2026.
