About the role

First-of-a-kind engineered systems present unique project management opportunities, offering a challenging and rewarding experience. As a Senior Project Manager at PAR Systems, you will own scope, schedule, budget, risk, customer communication, and contract execution for complex, highly regulated projects. This role supports custom material handling equipment, including cranes, manipulator systems, and other critical handling solutions used in demanding, quality-critical environments.

Success in this role means complex projects move forward with confidence because priorities remain aligned, risks are anticipated, and decisions balance technical and commercial considerations. Customers will view you as a trusted partner who communicates openly, manages expectations, and follows through on commitments. Cross-functional teams stay engaged and focused because obstacles are addressed early, collaboration is encouraged, and accountability is clear throughout the project lifecycle. You will bring structure to ambiguity, leverage lessons learned, and make practical decisions that keep projects on schedule while protecting quality, budget, and contractual commitments.

Responsibilities

  • Own scope, schedule, budget, risk, customer communication, and contract execution for complex engineered projects.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in a technical, engineering-driven, matrixed environment.
  • Manage project planning, scheduling, financial tracking, scope management, and change-order documentation.
  • Support proposals, estimating inputs, lessons learned, equitable adjustments, claims, or other contract/commercial change discussions.
  • Ensure consistent execution of highly customized engineered systems that meet customer expectations and reflect PAR Systems' standard of excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical area preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience leading complex, multi-million-dollar engineered projects from planning through delivery.
  • Demonstrated ownership of scope, schedule, budget, risk, customer communication, and change control.
  • Strong communication, judgment, organization, problem-solving, and follow-through with customers and internal teams.
  • Working knowledge of project planning, scheduling tools, financial tracking, and scope management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in nuclear, defense, aerospace, energy, government contracting, or another regulated or quality-critical industry.
  • Familiarity with NQA-1, custom material handling equipment, cranes, manipulators, automation, or engineered-to-order equipment.
  • PMP certification, formal project management training, or equivalent practical experience.

Pay

Starting rate of pay for this salaried position is targeted at $120,000–145,000 annually and is bonus eligible.
