Opportunity
We're seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead and scale Grow Therapy's iOS engineering team. The role involves defining the technical vision, mentoring a team, shaping the mobile roadmap, and fostering a high-performing, collaborative team culture.
What You'll Be Doing
- Define and own the long-term technical vision and strategy for the iOS platform, ensuring our mobile experience is on par with the best consumer apps.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 8-9 iOS engineers, raising the bar for craft, code quality, performance, and mobile UX.
- Partner with Product and Design leadership to shape the mobile roadmap, ensuring engineering influences direction and doesn't just execute.
- Drive high-quality, high-velocity shipping with strong operational frameworks for planning, prioritization, and delivery excellence.
- Build scalable mobile architecture—owning decisions around app performance, offline capabilities, release management, CI/CD, and platform tooling.
- Use data to guide decisions, instrument systems, measure impact, and continuously optimize the iOS experience.
- Execute on performance management—coach engineers on day-to-day challenges and long-term career development, maintain standards of excellence, and recognize outperformance.
- Foster a welcoming, collaborative, high-trust team culture with low non-regrettable attrition, even in a remote-first environment.
- Contribute to the broader engineering organization by collaborating with peer Senior EMs and leaders on org-wide initiatives and engineering culture.
Who You Are
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 4+ years leading engineering teams and at least 2+ years managing iOS or mobile-focused teams.
- Strong iOS technical depth—understanding Swift, UIKit/SwiftUI, mobile architecture patterns, and engaging deeply with your team on technical decisions.
- A track record of shipping polished, high-quality mobile experiences at scale in a consumer or marketplace environment.
- A product engineering mindset—deeply understanding user needs and translating them into delightful, high-performance mobile experiences.
- Able to scale teams through rapid growth—knowing how to hire, onboard, and develop engineers while maintaining quality and velocity.
- Exceptional communication and cross-functional leadership skills, including the ability to influence non-technical stakeholders.
- An ownership, speed, scrappiness, resilience, and bias toward action mindset.
- Passionate about building high-performance teams and developing engineers into future leaders.
