SENIOR ENGINEERING MANAGER-BEEF

Responsibilities

• Manage current plant capital projects > $1M from inception to completion.
• Manage major capital projects with scope ranging from $.5 – >$200M.
• Aids in overall management of capital budget for the plant and ensures financial policy is being followed as it relates to capital project management.
• Must be knowledgeable in all areas of OSHA’s process safety management and EPA’s risk management program (RMP) requirements.
• Works with operations team to generate layout drawings, gather competitive bids, coordinate installation of equipment, track invoices and payments.
• Establishes and tracks key performance indicators (KPI’s) for plant PSM coordinators.
• Completes training courses in PSM and Ammonia Operator I.
• Coordinates plant compliance with process safety management (PSM) regulation.
• Arranges to have appropriate records prepared and maintained.
• Maintains frequent communication with all plant departments as well as external vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering, Construction, or related field strongly preferred.
• Combination of directly related experience and education will be considered.
• 5 – 7 years of experience in a food manufacturing facility strongly preferred.
• Beef processing and rendering knowledge strongly preferred.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Efficient time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer skills, including knowledge of AutoCAD, SAP and Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to travel between 50%-75% of the time to beef facilities.
