Senior Engineering Manager API Platform

Responsibilities

• Design and operate backend APIs, focusing on GraphQL platforms
• Set and monitor OKRs and KPIs for team performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategy and roadmap
• Advocate for engineering best practices and developer experience
• Mentor team members and foster a strong engineering culture
• Participate in design and architecture discussions for API capabilities
• Support the mental health and professional growth of team members

Qualifications

• 7+ years of leadership experience managing teams
• 7+ years of building enterprise-grade applications at scale
• 5+ years of experience with JavaScript
• 3+ years of experience with TypeScript and Node.js
• Familiarity with API gateway technologies like Kong or Apigee
• Experience with distributed workflows and job-processing systems

Pay

$118,450 – $260,590 annually
