Senior Engineering Control Account Manager
Job Summary

GA-EMS designs and manufactures specialized products and integrated system solutions for defense, industrial, and commercial customers. This role supports the Science & Technology Products super-directorate.
About the Role
This position directly supports projects by ensuring they stay within the defined technical scope, managing task execution, and capturing performance status. It requires a technical background and experience in cost, schedule, and EVM processes.
Responsibilities
- Identify, decompose, and allocate technical scope in a Statement of Work (SOW) to create a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
- Build project schedules using tools like Microsoft Project.
- Monitor and analyze project schedule, timelines, and milestones to meet delivery goals.
- Lead project teams to gather and provide project status to key stakeholders.
- Assess remaining project effort and cost as part of an EAC update process.
- Perform Earned Value Management (EVM) analysis to identify and document cost and schedule variances, and drive corrective actions.
- Coordinate departmental and/or cross-functional teams to assign and prioritize tasks.
- Analyze project labor and material expenditures for proper charging and other discrepancies.
- Tackle project challenges through interdisciplinary teams.
- Develop and manage large data sets in Excel for specific program challenges.
- Manage both developmental and production programs.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Ensure compliance with operating procedures and environmental regulations.
- Interpret and administer policies and procedures impacting project(s).
- Work independently and lead in a team environment.
- Apply listening, empathy, and verbal communication skills to build trust and rapport with stakeholders.
- Work extended hours and travel as required.
- Obtain and maintain a DoD secret clearance.
Requirements
- Educational requirement: Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, business administration, or related field, with seven or more years of related experience.
- Experience: Previous experience in earned value systems in a research or production environment, and ability to complete a CAM certification within six months.
- Technical skills: Must have general knowledge of earned value systems, and possess strong analytical, communication, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Qualifications: Must be customer-focused, able to work independently and lead in a team environment, and demonstrate experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Tools: Experience with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, PDM systems, MRP systems, and other relevant software.

The position offers competitive compensation with a salary range of $98,100 - $171,398.
