Senior Engineering Auditor

Minimum Qualifications

• Six years of full-time paid experience as an architect, engineer, construction superintendent, mason, carpenter, plasterer, iron worker, and/or inspector of construction, one year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity;
• Four years of experience, as described in "1" above, at least one year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity, plus two years of education in an accredited college or technical school in subjects directly related to "1" above, or education toward a baccalaureate degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Engineering Technology;
• At least one year of experience, as described in "1" above, which must have been in a supervisory capacity, plus completion of an approved five year apprenticeship program in housing construction inspection;
• Completion of three years of apprenticeship in housing construction inspection plus either three years experience as described in "1" above, one year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity, or one year of experience as described in "1" above, which must have been in a supervisory capacity and two years of education as described in "2" above;
• Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1", "2", "3", or "4" above.

Preferred Skills

• Experience auditing payment requests;
• Experience reviewing regulatory documentation for lead and asbestos work;
• Able to effectively communicate audit findings to both internal and external stakeholders;
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills;
• Able to research and interpret contract terms, procedures, best practices, and legal mandates;
• Able to communicate with stakeholders effectively to resolve issues and data discrepancies;
• Experience preparing, analyzing, and summarizing data for senior staff;
• Able to prepare metrics and reports.
