Senior Engineer VP - Digital Assets

About the role

Collaborate with product owners and other technical teams involved in the product development process to enact the vision defined in the product roadmap. Provide subject matter expertise to support the collaboration between the product owner and the technical side of product development.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of the product strategy and vision defined in the product roadmap and communicate them with the relevant stakeholders and the development team.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather and prioritize product requirements and features based on business value and feasibility that are well-defined, measurable, and secure.
  • Develop and implement assessments to ensure continuous testing and improvement of product quality and performance.
  • Maintain monitoring of product performance to identify opportunities for optimization that meet the bank's performance standards.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry technology trends and technologies to evaluate and adopt new approaches to improve product development and delivery.

Requirements

  • Proven experience designing and building tokenized deposits, bonds, repos, stablecoins, and related digital asset systems in a regulated financial institution.
  • Practical expertise across Layer 1s/Layer 2s, smart contracts, cryptographic services, and interoperability frameworks.
  • A good understanding of token standards and on-chain settlement concepts, applied to enterprise Digital Asset design in a regulated environment.
  • Comfortable owning technical solutions end-to-end, from design and development through testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.
  • Applying DevSecOps discipline, including CI/CD, secrets management, cloud security, and automated testing.
  • Confidence using AI-enabled engineering and productivity tools to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, enhance decision-making, and mitigate technology and operational risk.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of payments systems, instant payments, cross-border flows, and digital asset-enabled settlement.
  • Understanding of capital markets workflows, including issuance, trading, DvP/PvP, lifecycle events, and corporate actions.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, Kubernetes/containers, API gateways, Kafka, and enterprise messaging.
  • Considerable grounding in distributed systems patterns, secure engineering, and modern software design principles.
  • Ability to work effectively across engineering, architecture, product, risk, compliance, and operations teams.
