About the role
We are seeking high-potential candidates to transform Stellantis with a focus on the customer experience. This role involves leading the design and development of various vehicle access devices/systems, validating interfaces with other vehicle components, and interfacing with Tier-1 suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of RF receiver modules, RF transmitter key fobs, ignition start/stop buttons, tire pressure monitoring systems, and digital key systems.
- Validate interfaces with other vehicle components using system design approaches to meet and improve functional requirements.
- Interface with Tier-1 suppliers to track program timing and deliverables.
- Support module validation for assigned hardware and software.
- Support manufacturing builds at both supplier facilities and Stellantis vehicle assembly plants.
- Meet all vehicle program milestones and conduct all release processes within Stellantis related to the component and its interface within the vehicle.
- Support the Vehicle Development team with certifications and compliance for owned components.
- Support the module development teams in packaging their modules with multiple vehicle lines.
- Locate modules in the vehicle, understand and communicate conflicts to module engineers & vehicle designers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Vehicle Access component development & releasing.
- Experience in CAN, LIN, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), NFC, and Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technologies.
- Vector CAN tools (CANalyzer or CANoe) related to CAN/CAN-FD vehicle bus networking protocols.
- Experience with product development of passive entry, passive start, Digital Key Systems, Remote Key Entry (RKE) and tire pressure monitoring systems.
- Reading and interpreting Electrical Engineering schematics and system level block diagrams.
- Experience with vehicle level validation.
- Experience reviewing software code and test methods/reports.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- 10 years of experience in Vehicle Access systems and component development & release.
- Familiarity with encryption algorithms, secure key management, and authentication protocols.
- Understanding of ISO/SAE 21434 and related automotive cybersecurity standards.
- Experience identifying gaps that reduce system cost, varying from component to process systems.
- Knowledge of digital key ecosystems and smartphone integration.
- Understanding of functional safety and cybersecurity frameworks.
