About the role

Our Telecom Engineers focus on complex engineering designs, BOM's, and construction packages for telecommunications solutions while providing support throughout the construction process. Responsibilities include verifying implementation feasibility, documenting site details, creating a full design package that meets client standards for construction, and collaborating within a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Research and create engineering designs of complex telecommunications solutions in the Power/Utility industry
  • Create designs: Detailed single line diagrams (SLD), and full construction packages for robust telecommunications solutions: OPGW/ADSS/DWDM Fiber, Microwave, SONET MUX, MHz & Repeaters, Satellite, Radio, FAN, Circuit Paths, Power, Switches, Routers, TCP/IP, and Firewalls
  • Create and markup SLDs, interconnect diagrams, WAN, LAN, tower drawings, etc.
  • Multi-task and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Collaborate with management, substation, Transmission, Distribution, Specialists. And field technicians
  • Use Adobe Pro, Excel, Visio, and MS Office suite to create detailed documentation and designs

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent
  • PE preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in researching and architecting/designing complex telecommunication solutions for utilities
  • Must be able to pass a NERC CIP level background check
  • Candidates must be a US Citizen or possess a valid Green Card (Permanent Resident Card) to be considered
