Senior Engineer - Threat Detection Engineering

About the role

The pay range is $98,000.00 - $176,000.00. Pay is based on several factors including labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. Additional benefits include comprehensive health benefits, employee discounts, 401(k), short-term and long-term disability, paid sick leave, national holidays, and vacation.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team of skilled engineers and analysts to reliably solve complex problems
• Get hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies
• Build tools to aid fraud analysts and investigators to help mitigate fraud & abuse seen in both Target stores and online
• Protect Target and guests from negative experiences due to frauds like gift card scams, returns/refunds abuse, account takeovers

Requirements

• Four-year degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent preferred
• Five to ten years of professional experience in this role, or a relevant and similar role
• Experience working with Kotlin/Java, Kafka, SQL/NoSQL databases
• UI development experience using React
• Experience with Spring Boot Framework, Gradle, and unit/integration testing frameworks
• Willingness to work in a team-oriented environment
• Interest in cyber threat or fraud detection
• Demonstrated analytical expertise, close attention to detail, excellent critical thinking, and adaptive learning
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Qualifications
