Senior Engineer Systems (Automotive Ethernet Solution)

Responsibilities
- Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support for Automotive Ethernet products and solutions, including technical presentations, demonstrations, documentation, and troubleshooting.
- Develop and customize automotive software solutions based on customer requirements (e.g., Ethernet drivers for switch, PHY, MAC, SerDes, PCS modules).
- Support customers with product development, design-in, system integration, validation, and certification testing.
- Analyze and resolve customer technical issues; provide on-site debugging and support when needed.
- Collaborate with internal R&D, sales, marketing, and product teams to align on customer needs and drive business objectives.
- Create technical collateral (application notes, reference designs, training materials) and conduct customer training.
- Stay updated on Automotive Ethernet standards, protocols (SOME/IP, TCP/IP, UDP, gPTP/TSN/AVB, MKA/MACsec, 802.1CB/802.3DM/802.1DG), and industry trends (SDV, Zonal Architecture).
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in embedded software development or Application Engineering with strong focus on automotive networking. Hands-on experience with Automotive Ethernet projects is highly desired.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong programming skills in C/C++ for embedded systems; Python for scripting and test automation.
- In-depth knowledge of Automotive Ethernet protocols and stacks (SOME/IP, TCP/IP, UDP, PTP/TSN/AVB, MKA/MACsec, 802.1CB/802.3DM/802.1DG).
- Experience with AUTOSAR (Classic/Adaptive), Linux/RTOS, embedded development tools, and testing environments (e.g. Scope, Test center, logic analyzer...).
- Good understanding of automotive software processes (ASPICE, ISO26262 functional safety, cybersecurity).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to explain complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with FW and API support and are comfortable with ARM based platforms.
Skills
- Nice-to-haves: Customer-facing experience in semiconductor/IC companies. Experience with domain controllers, zonal architectures, or Software-Defined Vehicles (SDV). Linux driver development, team management, or additional languages.

The Wage range that the company expects to pay for a qualified candidate in the United States is: San Jose, CA - Minimum of $106,900 Salary per year/ Maximum of $147,000 Salary per year
