Senior Engineer - Point of Sale (POS) Payments

This role is responsible for defining and leading the engineering approach for complex features to deliver significant business outcomes, including end-to-end solution design and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the design and engineering approach for complex features align with the larger portfolio solution.
• Define the technology tool stack for the solution and evaluate/adapt new testing tools, frameworks, and practices for team(s).
• Enable team(s)/applications with Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) capabilities and engage with technical stakeholders to optimize the CI/CD pipeline.
• Guide and influence team(s) on design and best practices for high code performance (e.g., pairing, code reviews).
• Provide end-to-end delivery of complex features, including automation, for single or multiple teams at the program level.
• Conduct research, design prototyping, and exploration activities (e.g., evaluating new toolsets for release management, CI/CD, and features).
• Work with stakeholders to establish high-level solution needs and collaborate with architects for technical requirements.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a hands-on technical leadership or management role, actively coding and designing systems.
• Extensive, expert-level background in software development.
• Deep experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems.
• Deep experience with Payment Gateway systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
