Senior Engineer, Physical Flows, L'Oreal Operations

About the role

Provide engineering support for the entire Walton Distribution team, dedicated to the physical flow of product, logistical services, continuous improvement, and information dissemination. Help develop, lead, and sustain the Distribution Site’s continuous improvement culture while collaborating with cross-functional leadership and team members to reach targeted business objectives and operational goals through Lean and Six Sigma techniques.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, execute, and support continuous improvement projects focusing on Safety, Quality, Cost, Productivity, Service, and People.
• Identify and lead continuous improvement opportunities that reduce/eliminate non-value-added activities within production and business processes, and define scope and project goals.
• Participate on cross-functional implementation teams utilizing Six Sigma/lean manufacturing tools in executing continuous improvement processes including cost reduction activities.
• Communicate project objectives and metrics, resolve barriers, and monitor lean initiatives.
• Ensure technical excellence and consistent approach with common language and tool sets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Engineering or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in distribution or manufacturing environment preferred with exposure to lean and six sigma methodology.
• Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs. required.
• Must be able to stand occasionally for a prolonged period.
