Senior Engineer of Radiological Work
Job Description
The Knolls Radiological Engineering group seeks Engineers with expertise in Radiological Controls. Key responsibilities include providing subject matter expertise, independent oversight, clarifying regulatory requirements, and assessing site performance. Radiological Engineers are expected to lead projects, mentor colleagues, and solve complex problems. The successful candidate will be trained as an Engineer of Radiological Work (ERW) and will manage program Radiological Controls Manuals revisions.
Required Combination Of Knowledge And Skill
- Bachelor’s degree in a related technical, engineering, or science field with 6+ years of relevant experience
- Master’s degree in a related field with 4+ years of relevant experience
- Doctorate degree with 1+ year of relevant experience
- Currently a Senior Reactor Training Engineer, Refueling Engineer, or Field (RPCO) Engineer at the Company
Preferred Skills
- Experience with the Naval Reactors program
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to make decisions in high-stress environments
- Demonstrated ability to work across organizations supporting a common mission

Pay Range
$95,700.00 - $149,600.00 annually
