Senior Engineer - HD Maps

This is an in-office role. Full-time employees are expected to work primarily from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week, with flexibility for occasional remote work or adjusted schedules to accommodate personal commitments. This expectation does not apply to contractor positions.
About the Role
We are looking for a senior engineer to own and maintain our HD maps end-to-end. Our product suite uses HD maps to solve customer needs in applications such as calculating localized information, querying data across global-sized maps, and visualizing and inspecting maps. This role will shape the future of our maps by collaborating with engineers and customers.
Responsibilities
- Lead HD maps implementation and own related feature areas across all products
- Define our map storage format to handle more features and distribute map data, focusing on UIs, data pipelines, storage, and SDKs
- Collaborate with engineers and customers on existing and future designs and features
Requirements
- Experience building software components or (sub)systems that address real-world mapping and localization challenges
- 2+ years of experience working in either autonomous vehicles or simulation products
- Working knowledge of C++ and/or Python

Pay
Compensation includes base salary, equity, and benefits. The base salary range for this role is $153,000 – $222,000. The actual base salary offered will be influenced by factors such as experience, credentials, educational attainment, skill level, interview performance, and the level and scope of the position.
