Senior Engineer, Creative Marketing
Overview
Catalyst Brands is seeking a Senior Engineer, Creative Marketing to build platform capabilities across customer, marketing, and digital touchpoints to accelerate growth. The role involves leading the technical execution of marketing initiatives, integrating brands into a new Creative Marketing stack, and designing composable architectures with cutting-edge Enterprise AI capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop technology solutions that power creative marketing campaigns using a composable solution space.
- Act as a key technical contributor in implementing, integrating, and continuously optimizing the new Creative Marketing stack, including the Campaign and Workflow tool, Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, and Studio Production Platform.
- Champion the rollout of Catalyst Brand Enterprise AI Tools, unlocking and leveraging native AI capabilities within creative toolsets and integrating standalone AI/ML solutions for asset creation, intelligent tagging, and personalization.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to build and scale Customer 360 capabilities and Cross Brand Loyalty programs, ensuring seamless data flow between systems like CDP, CRM, and the new Creative Marketing stack.
- Mentor junior engineers, establish coding standards, and align technical decisions with clear business outcomes.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5–7+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on Marketing Technology, Ad-tech, or customer-facing digital platforms. Retail or e-commerce experience is a plus.
- Creative Marketing Toolset Expertise: Deep, practical experience with creative and marketing technologies, including Campaign and Workflow tools, Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems, and Studio Production Platforms.
- Applied AI in Marketing Technology: Proven experience with AI capabilities within creative tools and designing/integrating standalone generative AI models into a composable marketing stack.
- Technical Skills: Deep expertise in modern web technologies (React, Vue.js, Node.js), API-first development, AWS services (SQS), Kafka, and creative asset management within Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems like Sitecore or Bynder.
- Collaboration: Proven track record of working effectively with creative directors, marketing stakeholders, and product teams in a fast-paced, matrixed enterprise environment.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
