Senior Engineer - Cary, NC
About the role
This role is critical in designing and implementing high-quality technology solutions within the Accounting domain, directly impacting business outcomes. You will take the lead in building scalable systems and ensuring seamless integration with business needs, leveraging your expertise to drive performance and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of high-quality technology solutions within the Accounting domain
- Take ownership of engineering activities, including analysis, design/code reviews, coding, and release management
- Mentor and guide team members to follow engineering best practices and deliver high-performance solutions
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, Tribe leads, Product Owners, and Architects to ensure successful business outcomes
- Acquire and apply functional knowledge of the Business capabilities being digitized and re-engineered
- Foster innovation and a growth mindset, inspiring others to achieve success together
Requirements
- Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, NodeJS, Structured Query Language (SQL)/PLSQL, ReactJSStrong experience in Big Data processing technologies like Apache Spark, Hadoop, and BigQuery
- Proven experience with Kubernetes and OpenShift container platforms
- Proficiency in databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis/Hazelcast
- Hands-on experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (or development) (CI/CD) pipelines and modern software delivery practices (e.g., Jenkins, Git Actions)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
Skills
- Experience in the Banking/Finance domain
- Familiarity with hybrid cloud solutions, particularly Global Control Programme (GCP)
- Previous experience in product development

Pay
The salary range for this position in Cary is $125,000 to $185,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications.
Schedule
It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.
