Senior Engineer – Bridge
Job Summary
TYLin is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to join our San Diego office. This role involves leading the structural design of complex transportation infrastructure and contributing to projects that define infrastructure excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead the structural design of complex transportation infrastructure, including bridges, tunnels, and walls.
- Oversee and review engineering reports, calculations, and drawings for accuracy and compliance.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.
- Work directly with state agencies, municipalities, and design/build contractors to develop tailored solutions.
- Play a key role in business development efforts, engaging with clients and presenting innovative solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of structural design experience in bridges and transportation infrastructure.
- Development of calculations using Excel and Mathcad.
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
- Expertise in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, CSI Bridge, VBridge, LEAP Bridge, LPile, and more.
- Experience with regional, state and federal transportation agency standards, codes and procedures strongly preferred.

Additional Information
TYLin is committed to pay equity. The base compensation range for this position is $100,00 - $152,400 annually. We recognize that each candidate brings a unique set of skills, experience, education and competencies to the table that will be reflected in our offer.
