Senior Engagement Manager, Professional Services, AWS Industries
Amazon Web Services (AWS) Professional Services (ProServe) is seeking a Senior Engagement Manager to lead the delivery of our largest and most complex customer transformation programs. This role involves leading delivery quality and velocity for programs spanning several concurrent workstreams, orchestrating 50+ person teams of AWS builders, partners, and customers to deliver transformational AI, data, and enterprise modernization outcomes for Global 500 organizations. The objective is to deliver distinctive customer business outcomes and experience, including redesigning software development processes to become AI-native end-to-end (“AI-DLC”).
About the team
The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team of experts that help customers realize their desired business outcomes when using AWS services. We collaborate with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing and AI transformation initiatives. This role requires approximately 50% co-location on site with customer, AWS, and partner teams within the U.S.
Responsibilities
- Build and nurture trusted executive relationships (VP+), delivering strategic counsel on program direction, health, risks, and trade-offs to inform executive decisions.
- Proactively manage inter-dependencies, mitigate risks, and drive accountability for program outcomes in ambiguous, fast-changing environments.
- Orchestrate across customer lines of business, IT, and partner teams simultaneously, aligning stakeholders on priorities, timelines, and definitions of success, and escalating blockers for resolution.
- Define and track measurable customer business outcomes (e.g., time-to-market acceleration) as the north star for program success, translating technical delivery progress into executive-ready value narratives that demonstrate ROI.
- Own the program financial health, including forecasting, revenue recognition, commercial management, change request negotiation, and scope management for fixed-price, milestone-based delivery constructs.
- Influence human builder and agent builder teams effectively, establishing clear operating models and responsible AI guardrails as delivery increasingly incorporates AI-augmented development workflows and agentic automation.
- Drive adoption of AI-DLC (AI-Driven Development Life Cycle) methodologies across delivery programs, adapting delivery models and team structures for accelerated scale and pace.
- Establish outcomes-based governance frameworks for AI-native builds and steer multi-agent systems at scale to drive delivery productivity.
- Enforce governance frameworks for agentic AI in delivery—including observability, cost controls, human-in-the-loop checkpoints, and compliance guardrails—to ensure AI-augmented workflows remain auditable, secure, and aligned with customer and AWS security requirements.
- Proactively surface ideas on how ProServe and other AWS teams can innovate to help customers achieve their goals faster and at larger scale.

- Knowledge of the value proposition of the public cloud and cloud engagement delivery (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of delivering customer engagements in a professional services role.
- Active project management certification (e.g., APM, CSM, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2).
