Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive energy audits and assessments to analyze current energy consumption patterns, identify inefficiencies, and develop strategies for reducing carbon emissions across various systems and processes.
- Design and model decarbonization solutions including renewable energy integration, energy storage, electrification, and building energy systems, to meet client sustainability goals and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate decarbonization strategies into overall building and infrastructure designs, ensuring alignment with client needs, technical feasibility, and environmental objectives.
- Provide technical analysis and recommendations to clients, including cost-benefit analyses, energy savings projections, and potential carbon reduction outcomes, to guide decision-making and ensure the successful implementation of decarbonization initiatives.
Requirements
- MUST be an Engineer in disciplines such as Energy, Mechanical, Electrical or Environmental.
- Experience working with new and existing buildings and a strong understanding on building efficiencies surrounding HVAC, Controls, Building Envelope, Decarboniztion and Smart Building Technologies.
- Able to work in cross functional teams and work with customers to action on deliverables.
- Building Simulation and Design Software: Knowledge of software like Revit (with energy modeling capabilities), AutoCAD, and SketchUp for creating energy-efficient building designs and layouts.
- Utilizing Energy Modeling Software: Proficiency in tools such as EnergyPlus, eQUEST, TRNSYS, and IES VE for modeling energy use in buildings, systems, and processes to simulate energy-saving scenarios.
