Senior Energy Attorney (8+ yrs)

About the role

The Energy and Renewables Team at Phillips Lytle is seeking a senior attorney with eight or more years of experience handling regulatory matters related to the energy sector. Candidates should have experience practicing before state public utility commissions and/or federal regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on regulatory compliance and policy issues related to energy sector
• Prepare and submit filings with state and federal regulatory agencies
• Represent clients in administrative proceedings before state and federal regulatory bodies
• Assist clients in navigating complex regulatory environments
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships

Requirements

• Eight or more years of experience practicing in the energy sector
• Experience before state public utility commissions and/or federal regulatory bodies
• Strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex regulatory matters

Qualifications

• Law degree from an accredited institution
• Admission to practice law in at least one of the following jurisdictions: New York, Illinois, or California
• Passionate about working in the energy sector
