About the role
The Energy and Renewables Team at Phillips Lytle is seeking a senior attorney with eight or more years of experience handling regulatory matters related to the energy sector. Candidates should have experience practicing before state public utility commissions and/or federal regulatory bodies.
Responsibilities
- Handle regulatory matters related to the energy sector
- Practice before state public utility commissions and/or federal regulatory bodies
- Work on issues involving the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Department of Energy, and/or New York Independent System Operator (or similar regional transmission organization)
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships
- Contribute to the growth and success of the firm
Requirements
- Eight or more years of experience in regulatory matters related to the energy sector
- Experience practicing before state public utility commissions and/or federal regulatory bodies
- Experience working on issues involving the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Department of Energy, and/or New York Independent System Operator (or similar regional transmission organization)
- Strong client relationship management skills
Qualifications
- Law degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to practice law in at least one state
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Annual salary range: $152,000 - $225,000 in Albany, Buffalo, Rochester; $189,000 - $250,000 in Chicago, Garden City, New York City

Pay
- Annual salary range: $152,000 - $225,000 in Albany, Buffalo, Rochester; $189,000 - $250,000 in Chicago, Garden City, New York City
