About the role

The Senior Endpoint Engineer is responsible for designing, deploying, managing, troubleshooting, and maintaining endpoint device configurations and endpoint management systems. This role involves analyzing complex technical challenges and developing solutions to maintain the integrity of the endpoint ecosystem, including desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices critical to the company’s global workforce.

Collaboration with IT professionals such as Service Support Teams, Network Engineers, and Cybersecurity Teams ensures seamless and secure integration of endpoint devices and management systems within the broader IT infrastructure. The role leverages expertise in endpoint management platforms to optimize device performance, ensure compliance, and enhance the end-user experience.

This is an on-site position reporting to Sherwin-Williams Global Headquarters in Cleveland, OH. The role requires legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain endpoint hardware, software, and management systems in alignment with business needs and organizational standards.
  • Monitor endpoint performance and troubleshoot issues to improve end-user experience and device reliability.
  • Manage and configure endpoint management platforms to support organizational processes.
  • Identify, prioritize, implement, and maintain automated and orchestrated fulfillment mechanisms to optimize endpoint services.
  • Coordinate with Service Support Teams, Network Engineers, and Cybersecurity Teams to plan and execute endpoint changes while maintaining security and operational continuity.
  • Collaborate with Cybersecurity Teams to identify and mitigate endpoint security threats and ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Develop and implement endpoint security and resiliency policies, standards, and procedures to protect devices and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Produce high-level design documentation as required.
  • Conduct technical research and analysis to address user requests for new or modified endpoint solutions or problem resolution.
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure effective procurement, deployment, and support of endpoint devices, tools, and management platforms.

The role involves contact with confidential and proprietary information, and a criminal history review is required.

Requirements

  • 4-6+ years of experience in desktop or endpoint engineering.
  • Experience managing and maintaining endpoint management platforms.
  • Experience in endpoint benchmarking, monitoring, telemetry, and log management.
  • Experience in endpoint scripting and automation.
  • Experience with policy management tools and technologies.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or at least 7 years of experience as a Desktop Engineer, Endpoint Engineer, or related position.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Intune and SCCM.
  • 5+ years of experience with endpoint scripting, automation, monitoring, and performance benchmarking.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with policy management and software packaging.
  • Certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate.

  • Operating Systems (e.g., Windows, macOS, iOS, Android).
  • Endpoint Management Platforms (e.g., Microsoft Intune, SCCM).
  • Endpoint Monitoring (e.g., Microsoft Endpoint Analytics, CrowdStrike, Splunk).
  • Endpoint Scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash, VB Script).
  • Software Packaging.
  • Policy Management (e.g., Intune, Active Directory, Group Policy Management Console).
