About the role
Architect, design, implement, test, debug, and deploy embedded real-time software for autonomous avionics systems. Develop software for integrated systems combining firmware, FPGA, and hardware, collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams using Agile and Lean methodologies, mentor junior engineers, contribute to technical design reviews, and support the development of reliable, mission-critical embedded systems.
Responsibilities
- Architect and design embedded real-time software for autonomous avionics systems
- Implement, test, and debug embedded software solutions
- Develop software for integrated systems combining firmware, FPGA, and hardware
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams using Agile and Lean methodologies
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical design reviews
- Support the development of reliable, mission-critical embedded systems
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience
- Experience with Embedded C++
- Experience with at least two of: Embedded C++ Software, Embedded Software Security, Software Architecture Design and Implementation
- Experience with embedded RTOS such as VxWorks, Linux, Green Hills, or Integrity
- Experience integrating hardware, firmware, and software
- Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance
- U.S. citizenship required
- Bachelor's degree in STEM or related field
Skills
- Reading electrical schematics
- Familiarity with VHDL or Verilog
- Assembly language experience
- Experience with lab instruments such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
- Experience developing device drivers
- Experience with bare-metal systems
