About the role
We have a vacancy for an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Electronics Engineer to develop innovative products for our customers in markets ranging from Smart Metering, Oil & Gas, to Life Sciences and Medical. This is a high-profile opportunity to demonstrate your talent in a fast-paced technical environment. Our team delivers electronic design solutions from proof-of-concept to prototype to full production, offering customer contact and a broad range of technically demanding projects. You’ll have the opportunity to develop initial ideas into real, tangible products in short timescales.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and test complex electronics modules using analogue and digital electronics skills
- Interpret datasheets, protocol documents, and design specifications
- Investigate, develop, and utilise new technologies, components, and techniques
- Create customer-ready documentation and reports
- Work in a team-based environment to solve technical problems
- Engage with customers and communicate technical concepts effectively
- Verify prototypes and support transfer to manufacture
Requirements
- 10+ years’ experience developing electronic systems
- Proficiency in schematic capture, PCB design, and simulation
- Experience with digital and analogue system design
- Microcontroller system design expertise
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or related subject
Skills
Essential:
- Analogue and digital electronics design
- Interpreting datasheets and design specifications
- Strong communication skills (internal and customer-facing)
Advantageous:
- Altium schematic capture and PCB layout
- Design experience with system interconnects (RS232, USB, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet)
- Power supply design
- High-speed digital design
- Wireless modules/RF experience (e.g., WiFi, BLE/Bluetooth, RFID)
- FPGA, CPLD, and DSP design experience
- EMC testing and failure analysis
- Experience with highly regulated development processes (e.g., medical devices, ATEX)
