Responsibilities
- Arc and develop advanced electrical components and circuit designs for next-generation inertial sensor and IMU technologies.
- Lead high-level circuit analysis, bench validation testing, and proactive risk mitigation strategies for complex engineering challenges.
- Spearhead the technical resolution of complex hardware problems and drive complete design development documentation from prototype to production.
- Conduct comprehensive design reviews and collaborate with system, firmware, and validation teams to ensure optimal hardware performance.
- Accelerate the successful transition of completed products to manufacturing by designing test fixtures and writing key engineering change notices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience in electronic circuit design.
- Proven expertise in robust electronic circuit research, circuit debugging, and hardware validation testing.
- Direct experience designing Functional Safety products within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Exceptional communication skills with a track record of authoring precise technical specifications, test plans, and reports.
- Bonus points for hands-on experience with Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs), including accelerometers and gyroscopes.
- Proficiency with engineering tools such as Matlab, SPICE (PSpice) simulation programs, Agile PLM, or Oracle ERP.
- Familiarity with C and C++ firmware development to assist with cross-functional system integration.
Qualifications
- Experience with Trimble Field Systems and Caterpillar Trimble Control Technologies (CTCT).
- Knowledge of grade control solutions and their implementation in construction and mining industries.
- Understanding of GNSS/GPS, lasers, optics, and sonics for precision positioning.

Pay
This role is compensated between $115,600.00 and $158,900.00 annually, with potential for bonuses and commissions. Trimble offers a competitive benefits package, including paid parental leave and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
