About the role
The power generation market continues to grow and evolve, driven by strong capacity demand signals. Our national Power Generation team is poised for monumental growth and is seeking a qualified Senior Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team.
Responsibilities
- Lead teams for power generation design projects including supporting in a traditional Owner’s Engineering role.
- Design experience with simple cycle and combined cycle power generation.
- Support in managing client relationships and leading marketing activities including proposal technical writing, fee builds, and work breakdown structure development.
- Mentor young engineers and act as a lead on a multi-discipline consulting team or a small team.
- Work with Project Manager and Project Controller on project reviews with management as needed.
- Direct the activities of other engineering professionals and act as a mentor to other staff members as needed.
Requirements
- A significant level of design and engineer of record work experience with power plant systems is required.
- Extensive experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector.
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office as well as standard Power Market Sector design software.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program with an Electrical Power emphasis.
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Control Systems Engineering with an Electrical Power emphasis.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in electrical power generation design.
- Professional Engineers (PE or P.Eng) license.

- Excellent communication, written, and organizational skills.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to work independently, as a lead on a multi-discipline consulting team, or as a lead on a small team.

Pay
- The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
Schedule
- Position will include an expectation of less than 10% travel for meetings with clients and vendors as well as project site visits.
