Senior Electrical Engineer - System Architect

Responsibilities
- Leading the development of top level electrical/electronic system architecture for UAS platforms from initial concept through full system integration.
- Performing hands-on electrical design, including circuit and subsystem development.
- Driving data-informed decisions through comprehensive trade studies.
- Defining and maintaining Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and subsystem requirements to ensure compatibility and performance across the system.
- Collaborating closely with mechanical, software, and systems engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle, while guiding electrical integration, testing, and validation activities to ensure reliable, high-quality UAS system performance.
Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Demonstrated capability in architecture development for UAS or airborne platforms.
- Expertise in electronics engineering, including circuit design for SMPS electronics, high-speed communication, and common serial interfaces.
- Experience with component selection for prototype to productization.
- Prior experience in developing and maintaining ICDs and defining electrical subsystem requirements.
- Experience supporting troubleshooting and root cause investigations in complex systems.
- Background in regulated industries such as Aerospace, Defense, or Government contracting.
- Experience with PCB design including schematic capture and layout, using CAD tools such as Altium.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications
- Significant background in Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), Airborne ISR, or low-cost expendable aircraft design.
- Experience in production/factory environments, including DFM/DFA and documentation for manufacturing.
- Experience developing embedded software.
- Familiarity with system safety, EMI/EMC compliance, and environmental qualification testing.
- Previous leadership or principal-level roles in cross-functional system architecture efforts.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Robotics, or Computer Engineering.

Export Control / ITAR Requirement
This position requires access to information and technology subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). As a result, employment is contingent upon meeting applicable export control eligibility requirements and compliance obligations.

Pay
$150,000 - $210,000 annually. Salary depends on relevant work experience, education, training, essential skills, and/or other factors such as specialized or high-demand professions. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible for an annual bonus.
