About the role
Collins Aerospace, a Raytheon Technologies company, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Hardware and Infrastructure Engineering Team. This position is both internally and externally facing and offers opportunities to collaborate across multiple functions to achieve program objectives.
Responsibilities
- Work onsite in our Marlborough, MA facility.
- Perform simulation and analysis using MATLAB, python, or similar tools for system performance in areas such as target detection and estimation, clutter suppression, doppler sensing, resource optimization, etc.
- Operate several radar systems located primarily in MA, but also around the US.
- Provide innovative design proposals for system enhancement, algorithm development, and optimization in support of key performance parameters.
- Implement software-based system changes (when applicable) to fulfill customer needs.
- Collaborate in an agile development environment with multiple engineering disciplines within RTX, suppliers, and customers to develop and deliver system enhancements for multiple stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
- Experience with Active Electronically Scanned Arrays (AESA).
- Prior experience developing techniques for identification and extraction of features in a large data set using signal processing or machine learning.
- Experience working in a C++, Python and Java software development environment.
- Experience in a Linux environment.
- Experience with configuration management tools (Git/Bitbucket).
- Prior experience working in a lab environment and operating RF and standard test equipment (spectrum and network analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, etc.).
