Senior Electrical Engineer - Remote (LSNA-OH/NC/IN/PA/TX/VA)
About the role
Your responsibilities will include Engineering and design of facility power distribution systems, grounding, lighting, equipment & construction specifications and hazardous area classifications in some of the most complex industrial facilities on the planet. Evaluating the desired goal of the system and developing, designing, and selecting the required equipment or power/controls to achieve the goal. Performing calculations and evaluations in the design of equipment and systems for industrial applications. Directing activities to ensure that construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications, recognized codes and standards, and customer requirements. Maintaining effective communication with project team members and with the customer. Using engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks. Performing tier reviews of project deliverables to ensure accuracy, conformance to codes, specifications, design criteria and conformance to good engineering practices.
Responsibilities

- Perform calculations and evaluations in the design of equipment and systems for industrial applications.

Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from accredited program
- PE, Professional Engineer license preferred
- 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering design of building
- Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC)
- Ability to perform power system studies including short circuit, load flow, protective coordination, and arc flash studies
- Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to less experienced staff members
- Must be capable of devising new approaches to problems encountered
- Must also be familiar with Microsoft Office Packages (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio), Smartplant, Revit, AutoCAD and Bluebeam Revu.
- Ideal experience: Life Science and/or advanced manufacturing facility electrical design experience
- Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base

Qualifications
- Must be a US citizen or permanent resident
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
