Senior Electrical Engineer / Project Manager

Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical engineering projects from initial concept and planning through design, construction, and closeout.
  • Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, resources, and overall project performance.
  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Design and oversee electrical systems, including:
    • Power distribution
    • Lighting
    • Lighting controls
    • Fire alarm systems
    • Low-voltage systems
    • Renewable energy systems
    • Other integrated building electrical systems
  • Review project requirements and ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and industry best practices.
  • Prepare and oversee technical documentation, calculations, specifications, and energy compliance documentation.
  • Perform or oversee photometric analysis and electrical system calculations.
  • Coordinate electrical designs with architects, engineers, contractors, clients, and other project stakeholders.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and serve as a trusted technical advisor.
  • Support business development activities and contribute to client relationships and project pursuits.
  • Lead quality assurance and quality control initiatives for electrical engineering deliverables.
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful project execution.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and professional development support to engineering and design staff.
  • Participate in construction administration and provide technical support through project closeout.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, project teams, contractors, and other stakeholders.

  • Healthcare / OSHPD
  • K-12 / DSA
  • Higher Education
  • Civic
  • Commercial
  • Parks and Recreation
  • Multi-Family Residential

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible electrical engineering experience within the A/E/C industry.
  • Strong experience with electrical design for building projects.
  • Demonstrated experience with:
    • Power distribution
    • Lighting
    • Fire alarm
    • Low-voltage systems
  • Experience with AutoCAD required.
  • Experience with Revit and BIM is a plus.
  • Knowledge of energy compliance requirements and documentation.
  • Experience with photometric analysis.
  • Strong understanding of applicable electrical codes, standards, and industry practices.
  • Proven project management and leadership capabilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong client relationship and team collaboration skills.
