About the role
The Senior Electrical Engineer - Power Studies position is part of the Power Study Group within our Engineering division. This role is available in multiple locations including Gilbert, AZ; Overland Park, KS; Columbus, OH; Raleigh, NC; and Denver, CO.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex power system studies to support grid modernization initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions for power system challenges
- Conduct detailed analysis of power systems to identify potential improvements and risks
- Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations
- Stay current with industry trends and regulatory requirements impacting power systems
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in power engineering
- Experience with power system analysis tools and software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Experience with renewable energy integration and smart grid technologies
- Knowledge of electrical distribution systems and substations
Skills
- Proficiency in power system analysis software (e.g., PSS/E, ETAP)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Pay
Salary range: $120,000 - $150,000 annually, commensurate with experience
