Senior Electrical Engineer (Movable Bridge)
About the role
In the role of Senior Electrical Engineer, we'll count on you to:
- Cook up the work of Electrical Engineers with the balance of a multidiscipline team throughout the entire project's development
- Settle down client relations, and join the marketing, design and production meetings with regard to electrical systems
- Take charge of the electrical lead on many projects
- Join in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance
- Carry out schematic, design development and contract document work sessions in conjunction with the Project Manager and other disciplines
- Divvy up the workload through the entire project development to finish projects on time
- Keep track of the financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and tweak the work effort with the team to ensure that the work is completed within the parameters of the agreed-upon schedule
- Collaborate with the Project Manager and Regional Controller for project reviews with corporate management as needed
- Lead the activities of other electrical engineering professionals, and act as a mentor to other staff members as needed
- Do other duties as needed
Responsibilities
Work will include a mix of office and field work and may require travel
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with an engineering consulting firm desired
- Preference given to local candidates
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-EAC Accredited Degree)
- A minimum of 10 years experience in electrical design (lighting/power/systems/controls)
- Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license
- Extensive knowledge of electrical power, lighting, signal, and control design
- Strong computer knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, and electrical design software
