Senior Electrical Engineer – Digital Hardware (110-136K) We have a fantastic opportunity available to join a cutting-edge DoD sensing technology manufacturer in the Syracuse area. This is a Full Time – Direct Hire opportunity. Hybrid work schedule available. Overview Fast Growing DoD Sensing Technology Manufacturer.Competitive Pay, Benefits, and Attractive Stock Options.Work on innovative digital hardware, FPGA, and high-speed electronic systems.Collaborate with a highly skilled, multidisciplinary engineering team developing next-generation products. Responsibilities Lead the design and development of advanced digital hardware for next-generation products.Design multi-layer PCBs, develop schematics, and support board layout activities.Architect and develop FPGA solutions using VHDL and/or Verilog on modern Xilinx platforms.Perform hardware integration, testing, validation, troubleshooting, and production support.Design high-speed digital interfaces, data acquisition systems, digital signal processing (DSP), and communication architectures.Develop Python and Bash scripts to automate engineering workflows and improve efficiency.Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the entire product development lifecycle. Education And Experience Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.5+ years of digital hardware design experience.Experience designing analog and digital circuits including FPGAs, microcontrollers, memory, and high-speed interfaces.Hands-on experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and similar lab equipment.Experience with VHDL and/or Verilog.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.U.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance. Preferred Experience Altium Designer.Xilinx Vivado.RF Systems or Software Defined Radio (SDR).Digital Signal Processing (DSP).MATLAB, Python, and Linux.Experience performing design reviews and providing technical leadership.
