About the role

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. This position will play a key role in providing high-quality mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and technology design solutions for various building types.

Responsibilities

  • Provide input on project viability, assist with proposal preparation, and help select the design team
  • Produce project schedules, lighting, power, and fire alarm designs, compliance checks and specifications, and conduct reviews
  • Conduct interdisciplinary coordination and manage final reviews/approvals between disciplines and agencies
  • Work in conjunction with the Project Manager, Designers, and Construction Administration Specialist to meet company standards and exceed Client expectations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience on Mission Critical and Data Centers projects
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of North Carolina or ability to obtain your PE in North Carolina within 6 months

Skills and Knowledge

  • Familiarity with SKM, Short circuit and Arc Flash Studies
  • SKM or Easy Power Commissioning experience in Data Centers
  • Experience with UPS and back-up generators
  • Ability to write Test Scripts and Direct Efforts
  • Willingness to work some nights and weekends

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Our schedule is flexible and hybrid, with early Fridays year-round.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates should have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in mission critical and data center projects. A PE license in North Carolina is preferred but not required.
