Responsibilities

  • Power distribution and electrical system designs for process and industrial facilities
  • Specifications and data sheets (transformers, switchgear, motors, UPS, etc.)
  • Vendor inquiries, bid evaluations, and shop drawing reviews
  • Power system analysis and relay coordination
  • Area classification and electrical code assessments
  • Construction labor/material cost estimates and project schedules
  • Programming/setpoints (VFDs, relay protection, etc.) and field support

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in designing electrical distribution/control systems and performing power system calculations
  • High voltage substation design (up to 345 kV) experience preferred
  • Subsurface and overhead transmission line design experience preferred
  • Project lead experience developing engineering schedules, budgets, and forecasts
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including MS Project
  • AutoCAD and 3-D CAD experience a plus
  • Electrical design tools and calculations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in teams and to present a positive image to clients

Education & Certification Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required
  • Advanced degree a plus
  • FE certification desired, PE certification a plus

Schedule

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
