Responsibilities
- Power distribution and electrical system designs for process and industrial facilities
- Specifications and data sheets (transformers, switchgear, motors, UPS, etc.)
- Vendor inquiries, bid evaluations, and shop drawing reviews
- Power system analysis and relay coordination
- Area classification and electrical code assessments
- Construction labor/material cost estimates and project schedules
- Programming/setpoints (VFDs, relay protection, etc.) and field support
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in designing electrical distribution/control systems and performing power system calculations
- High voltage substation design (up to 345 kV) experience preferred
- Subsurface and overhead transmission line design experience preferred
- Project lead experience developing engineering schedules, budgets, and forecasts
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including MS Project
- AutoCAD and 3-D CAD experience a plus
- Electrical design tools and calculations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in teams and to present a positive image to clients
Education & Certification Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required
- Advanced degree a plus
- FE certification desired, PE certification a plus
Schedule
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
