Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer with a focus on power generation. Ideal candidates should have multi-discipline experience in hydro, gas, and fossil power generating facilities, with exposure to low voltage and medium voltage power distribution, motor controls, interfacing industrial processes to DCS and PLC systems, and power distribution system modeling software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering and design efforts within a team
• Lead and conduct meetings with peers and clients
• Develop proposal documents and estimates to facilitate bidding on work
• Work on modifications and upgrades in existing facilities
• Experience with relay protection is a plus

Requirements

• Desired experience in low voltage and medium voltage power distribution
• Experience with motor controls for both low voltage and medium voltage
• Experience interfacing industrial processes to DCS and/or PLC systems
• Familiarity with power distribution system modeling software (ETAP or similar)
• Experience with panel design and 3D environments
• Ability to coordinate with project managers and clients

Qualifications

• Experience in power generation industry, such as Duke, TVA, Exelon, Dominion, or similar
• Leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a team
• Comfortable presenting to peers and clients
• Experience with relay protection is a plus
