Senior Electrical Engineer - Power Generation Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid) About the Opportunity A leading engineering consulting firm is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support power generation projects across the United States. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects including nuclear, fossil, renewable energy, and industrial power facilities.Engineers in this position will lead design efforts, support project execution, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on complex generation projects. Responsibilities Develop electrical engineering designs for power generation facilitiesPrepare single-line diagrams, equipment specifications, calculations, and technical reportsSupport system studies and equipment evaluationsCoordinate with project managers, clients, and engineering teamsReview engineering deliverables and provide technical guidanceSupport projects through design, construction, commissioning, and startup Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering5+ years of electrical engineering experienceExperience with power generation, utility, industrial, EPC, consulting, or energy projectsKnowledge of electrical power systems and industry standardsStrong communication and problem-solving skillsPE license preferred but not required Why Join?
