Senior Electrical Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering teams delivering advisory services and engineering design solutions across energy-sector projects.
• Engage directly with clients to evaluate energy needs and develop concept-level solutions.
• Advance projects through detailed engineering design and execution phases.
• Mentor and support junior and mid-level electrical engineering staff.
• Collaborate with account managers and business development teams on strategic pursuits.
• Develop engineering strategies supporting energy transition and decarbonization initiatives.
• Prepare and review design calculations, construction drawings, and technical specifications.
• Provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary project teams.
• Support proposal development, business development, and client relationship management.
• Anticipate project challenges and proactively manage technical and delivery risks.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 8+ years of electrical engineering design or consulting experience.
• Strong understanding of electrical power systems and engineering fundamentals.
• Experience with: Power distribution systems and microgrids, Power generation systems, Medium- and High-Voltage substations, Renewable energy projects (wind, solar, hydro, geothermal, etc.), Energy storage systems, Protection & Control, SCADA, or power system automation, Thermal utility plants and distribution systems (steam, hot water, chilled water), Cogeneration or combined heat and power systems, Campus utility master planning or decarbonization initiatives.
• Experience developing engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision after project direction is established.
• Experience using 3D modeling/design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, CADWorx, or NavisWorks.
• Power system modeling experience using SKM Power Tools, ETAP, or similar platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within one year.
• Experience in Owner's Engineer, technical advisory, due diligence, or contract management roles.
• Project management and design management experience within consulting environments.
