Senior Electrical Designer | Cincinnati, OH
Principal Responsibilities
Lead and manage electrical design projects of varying size and complexity
Support scope development, fee calculations, proposal generation, and contract review with Project Executives and Client Executives
Serve as the primary point of contact for project teams and clients
Prepare monthly billings and submit financial information to Accounting on time while updating billing projections and percent complete
Ensure designs meet owner requirements, IMEG standards, and applicable codes while achieving milestone deliverables and quality control requirements
Coordinate design staff and project schedules through all phases of design and construction
Lead progress meetings and provide project documentation
Conduct construction site visits and provide documentation as needed
Resolve client and construction concerns, manage change orders, and secure appropriate approvals
Required Qualifications And Skills
- Absolutely necessary: Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent required, 7 years of experience minimum required, 8 preferred, in the building design consulting industry OR Associates degree, or certificate, in Building Information Modeling (BIM) or Engineering preferred, 11 years of experience minimum required, 12 preferred, in the building design consulting or construction industry
- Adept in the technical aspects of one’s discipline; advanced proficiency in technical and analytical skills including proficiency of principles of circuit theory, electromagnetism, power systems, and electronics as they relate to electrical systems
- Knowledge of Illumination Engineering Society (IES) Standards and reference material resources such as NFPA Link, TechStreet, MadCAD, and Facility Guideline Institution (FGI)
- Advanced proficiency of Master Specification editing and software such as eSPECS; Proficient with Adobe or Bluebeam Revu
- Able to mentor, train, motivate, and lead others
- Able to perform final quality control check in their area of expertise
- Able to sell work and develop client relationships
- Strong training and mentoring skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to travel up to 20% with occasional overnight stays

Salary Range
$95,000 – $137,000 Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant.
