Principal Responsibilities
- Lead and manage electrical design projects of varying size and complexity
- Support scope development, fee calculations, proposal generation, and contract review with Project Executives and Client Executives
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project teams and clients
- Prepare monthly billings and submit financial information to Accounting on time while updating billing projections and percent complete
- Achieve milestone deliverables and quality control requirements
- Coordinate design staff and project schedules through all phases of design and construction
- Conduct progress meetings and provide project documentation
- Conduct construction site visits and provide documentation as needed
- Resolve client and construction concerns, manage change orders, and secure appropriate approvals
Required Qualifications And Skills
- Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent required
- 7 years of experience minimum required, 8 preferred, in the building design consulting industry OR Associates degree, or certificate, in Building Information Modeling (BIM) or Engineering preferred
- 11 years of experience minimum required, 12 preferred, in the building design consulting or construction industry
- Adept in the technical aspects of one’s discipline; advanced proficiency in technical and analytical skills including proficiency of principles of circuit theory, electromagnetism, power systems, and electronics as they relate to electrical systems
- Knowledge of Illumination Engineering Society (IES) Standards and reference material resources such as NFPA Link, TechStreet, MadCAD, and Facility Guideline Institution (FGI)
- Advanced proficiency of Master Specification editing and software such as eSPECS; Proficient with Adobe or Bluebeam Revu
- Ability to mentor, train, motivate, and lead others
- Ability to perform final quality control check in their area of expertise
- Ability to sell work and develop client relationships
- Strong training and mentoring skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to travel up to 20% with occasional overnight stays

Pay Range
$95,000 – $137,000 Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant.
