Senior Electrical and Automation Design Engineer
About the role
Your impact: Concentric Integration provides full-service automation of water/wastewater systems (including design, implementation, and support). We strive to be an advocate for our clients and to form long-lasting partnerships based on trust. The Senior Electrical and Automation Design Engineer is primarily responsible for the design of Water/Wastewater electrical power distribution and technology improvements for municipalities.
Responsibilities
- Reports to Design Engineering Director for work responsibilities, scheduling, and quality control.
- Leads design efforts for projects with consulting engineers and end users.
- Provides constructability review for electrical and automation design documents with in a multi-disciplinary engineering project.
- Provides quality and coordination review of shop drawing and O&M submittals.
- Provides technical training and mentorship to design engineers.
- Designs electrical distribution systems, including one-line diagrams, plan drawings, panel schedules, and equipment elevations.
- Collaborates with construction inspectors at job sites to assess field conditions and develop practical design solutions that ensure compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program.
- 7+ years of experience as an Electrical/Controls Design Engineer.
- Advanced Computer Skills, Literacy, & Proficiency.
- Effective oral, written, and digital communication skills.
- Able to travel throughout Concentric Integration’s service area (Approximately 10% travel to Houston area clients).
- Able to easily interact with other design staff and with consulting engineers.
- Effective organizational skills for productive task and time management.
- Able to identify and solve problems in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- AutoCAD experience preferred.
- Visio experience a plus.
- P.E. license is preferred.
Skills
Preferred qualifications include AutoCAD experience, Visio experience, and P.E. license.

Pay
The pay range for this role is $105,000 to $140,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.
