Senior EIT Budget Analyst
About the role
We are hiring a Sr. EIT Budget Analyst to join our Enterprise Information Technology Finance team at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee! In this role, you will help manage EIT’s overall budget, including budget preparation, analysis, reporting, loading, and annual planning, while partnering closely with EIT managers and leadership. You’ll use your accounting and budgeting knowledge to interpret technology contracts, understand renewal and invoice impacts, and help managers understand how technology purchases and expenses affect their budgets. You will also work with data from multiple financial and budgeting systems, using Excel to analyze information and translate complex financial and technology details into clear, actionable insights that support informed decision-making across EIT. This is a remote, work-from-home position, but the final round of interviews will take place on-site in our Chattanooga, TN office. Sponsorship is not available for this role. Responsibilities
- Oversees accurate and timely program/project level cost accounting by defining processes that enable visibility of project financial health.
- Supports the annual budgeting and training processes, reforecasts EIT divisional spend monthly, and develops asset/capital management processes to adhere to accounting guidelines.
- Supports Oversight of EIT Contracts coordination and tracking for timely renewals and variance to EIT budget.
- Ensures accuracy of EIT divisional monthly journal entries/accruals prepared by junior staff and supports the invoice review, approval, and tracking processes.
