Senior EHS Manager
The Role
Lead management and provision of improvement strategies for all EHS activities at YAI and its subsidiaries.
Optimize the performance of EHS initiatives, identify, manage, direct, and audit the systems required to limit all forms of risk leading to environmental mishaps, compliance violations, job-related injury or illness, property damage, and bad public relations.
Create and expand an EHS strategy driving site locations towards environmental sustainability.
Develop and implement location-specific EHS policies, procedures, and programs.
Ensure compliance related activities such as environmental permit requirements, EHS training, Ergonomic programs, are robust and maintained.
Set strategy, manage all key components of risk, communications at all levels, use metrics and program results to adjust efforts and work for continuous improvement of YAI's EHS levels.
Requirements
- 5+ years in safety field with 2+ years of oversight of total safety management program for mid-size manufacturer
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS)
- Experience in a light assembly production environment
- Experience in managing and administrating a comprehensive industrial safety program, loss control, workers' compensation insurance, Environmental and OSHA regulations
- Experience in implementing Ergonomic programs
- Experience in training workforces
- Experience in developing training programs, especially on-line with user interaction, change management, and feedback
