Senior EHS Manager
About the role
The Senior Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager will be responsible for integrating EHS services into business practices and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements on assigned projects. This role involves oversight of EHS services and interactions with various stakeholders including EH&S staff, superintendents, project managers, project executives, and area/regional EHS directors.
Responsibilities
- Manage direct reports
- Identify and recommend controls for safety hazards
- Communicate with employees at all levels in a construction environment
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations
- Oversee EHS services on assigned projects
- Interact with EHS staff, superintendents, project managers, project executives, and area/regional EHS directors
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience managing direct reports
- 10+ years of experience in roles involving safety hazard identification and control recommendations
- 10+ years of experience in safety roles requiring communication with employees at all levels in a construction environment
- OSHA 30 certification
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Safety Management, Engineering, or 8 years equivalent experience plus minimum 7 years prior relevant experience
