About the role

The Senior eDiscovery Litigation Technologist will play a key role in supporting various aspects of the company's portfolio. CGS is seeking candidates who are excited to contribute to government innovation, appreciate collaboration, and can anticipate the needs of others.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain awareness of changes to laws impacting civil and criminal litigation and their impact on current FBI Discovery policies and procedures.
  • Stay informed about new technologies and best practices in the commercial industry to improve FBI Discovery processes.
  • Ensure that proposed solutions meet the underlying needs and are thoroughly tested before implementation.
  • Conduct testing of system upgrades or patches to ensure they function correctly.
  • Verify that new functional business capabilities successfully address existing requirements.
  • Provide guidance on identifying, preserving, collecting, processing, and producing Electronic Stored Information (ESI) in support of civil litigation, criminal matters, FOIA requests, Congressional inquiries, and other external inquiries.
  • Monitor daily separation reports to identify departing legal hold custodians and ensure proper preservation of material subject to legal hold requirements.
  • Update and/or create standard operating procedures for the ETA role.
  • Show a strong technical understanding of electronic discovery applications and a strong legal background and expertise on these applications.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of eDiscovery/litigation support experience with a focus on client solutions.
  • At least 3 years of progressively responsible experience on major lit support projects.
  • At least 2 years of experience with Relativity, beyond document review coding.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with both eDiscovery technical teams and non-technical business leaders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and agile work environment.
  • Experience and familiarity with eDiscovery Services covering all realms of the EDRM (File to Trial).
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Active U.S. Government security clearance (preferred).
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience (a Juris Doctor is highly preferred).
