About the role
The Senior eDiscovery Analyst is responsible for managing and executing day-to-day electronic discovery (eDiscovery) project tasks while overseeing multiple projects throughout the eDiscovery lifecycle. This role will function as both an analyst and a project manager collaborating closely with case teams to manage certain aspects of the eDiscovery process, including but not limited to, collection, processing, and production of electronically stored information.
Responsibilities
- Administer and support Relativity workspaces, including workspace creation using firm-approved templates, data ingestion and processing, user and group permissions management, and creation, QC, import, and export of document productions in accordance with case-specific specifications and best practices
- QC on incoming and outgoing deliverables from internal teams, third-party vendors, and external parties; proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues while maintaining defensible workflows
- Maintain accurate chain of custody while ensuring compliance with firm policies, privacy requirements, and data security standards throughout the eDiscovery lifecycle
- Apply strong working knowledge of Relativity, including permissions, processing, searching, review, production workflows, analytics, dashboards, AI, and scripting, to support efficient matter execution
- Support data management tasks such as deduplication, metadata validation, structured QC, imaging, spreadsheet manipulation, media duplication, and the handling of native and image files
- Aid in specialized workflows, including mobile device collections through third parties, transcript handling, and data organization for review and trial preparation
- Advise case teams on eDiscovery workflows, best practices, and technology solutions; partner with the eDiscovery Manager to recommend efficient, cost-effective approaches
- Cook with third-party vendors to support forensic and mobile device collections, while communicating status updates, risks, and next steps to internal stakeholders
- Contribute to internal documentation, training materials, process updates, and knowledge-sharing initiatives; stay current on emerging litigation support technologies
- Track, finalize, and release billable time accurately; manage multiple concurrent matters, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and firm standards
Requirements
- Minimum of high school diploma required; bachelor’s degree or higher preferred
- At least 5 years of experience working in eDiscovery or litigation support within a law firm environment
- Strong working knowledge of Relativity or other eDiscovery platforms as a power user or administrator
- Solid understanding of the litigation and eDiscovery lifecycle, including processing, review, production and trail support
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ReadySuite
- Project and case management skills, including a strong aptitude for managing and prioritizing multiple projects and deadlines with a high attention to detail
- Superior research, organizational and verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to work second shift, as well as working off-hours, weekends, and traveling as needed
