Responsibilities
- Monitoring & Observability:
- Configure, maintain, and optimize monitoring solutions using Dynatrace.
- Enable end-to-end visibility across infrastructure, systems, and applications.
- Develop dashboards, alerts, and health checks to ensure system health and reliability.
- Monitor service performance and availability and set alert thresholds to minimize false positives.
- Infrastructure Systems Monitoring:
- Maintain monitoring of Windows/Linux servers, virtual environments, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Support monitoring of databases, middleware, and network components.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and cloud teams to identify trends and capacity needs.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact production.
- Application Monitoring:
- Use Dynatrace to monitor application performance and transaction flows.
- Support synthetic monitoring and real user monitoring.
- Work closely with application teams to ensure comprehensive monitoring coverage.
- Aid in troubleshooting performance issues at both the application and system level.
- Incident Support:
- Participate in incident response efforts related to performance and availability.
- Provide monitoring insights during troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Identify and close monitoring gaps.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Enhance monitoring standards and documentation.
- Recommend improvements to monitoring configurations and alert strategies.
- Support integration of monitoring tools with IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 5+ years in systems engineering, infrastructure support, or monitoring roles.
- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience with Dynatrace or similar APM tools.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of Windows/Linux servers, virtualized environments (VMware), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Technical Skills: Basic networking understanding (DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing).
- Technical Skills: Experience with scripting or automation tools like PowerShell or Bash (preferred).
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with Kubernetes or container monitoring.
- Technical Skills: Experience with ITIL practices and regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, financial services).
- Soft Skills: Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Soft Skills: Effective communication and collaboration across teams.
- Soft Skills: Detail-oriented with a proactive mindset.
